Botulinum toxin was first approved for injection into the muscles that control eye movement and blinking to treat strabismus (lazy eyes) and blepharospasm (frequent forceful blinking).  It can also be used to treat myokymia (eyelid twitching), hemifacial spasm and migraines.  The use of botulinum toxin is something ophthalmologists are very familiar with.
